Almost century-old vines that yield little fruit, but with a concentration and depth no young vineyard can match.

Winemaking

The manual harvest and careful winemaking in stainless-steel tanks precede its ageing of 15 months in new 500-litre French oak barrels — a format that respects the fruit and polishes the tannin without masking its origin. The wine is bottled without fining, keeping all its purity and authenticity, in a limited production of 4,000 bottles.

Tasting notes

A red of great intensity, with ripe black fruit over a spiced background (cinnamon) and a mineral echo on the finish that reveals its sandy soils at altitude. On the palate it is broad, with ripe tannins and a long finish. Download the technical sheet for the full details of the vintage.

Food pairing and serving

An ideal companion for suckling lamb, chargrilled meats, wild mushrooms and mature cheeses.
