Foundation and Beginnings

1950s

• 1956: Plantings are registered and the Colonisation Centre is founded with 218 members.
• 1957: Construction of the winery begins. The first harvest is received on 25 October and stored in concrete tanks.
    - The first presses are installed and winemaking shifts are organised according to the declared vineyard area.
   - Works are financed by withholding 20% of the harvest.

Growth and First Modernisations

1960s

• 1966: The second winemaking hall is built.
• 1968-1970:
   - The first barrels are acquired, initially 12 for trials and eventually up to 400.
   - The first bottling and bottle-washing line is installed — the first in the Ribera del Duero of Burgos.
   - Sales begin in Madrid, Valladolid and Burgos.

Organisation and Professionalisation

1970s

• 1978:
   - First meeting held in La Horra, attended by 8 wineries — ours among them — to assess the possibility of creating the Ribera del Duero Denominación de Origen, given the winegrowing potential of this area.
   - First Harvest Festival in La Horra, organised by the Provincial Council of Burgos

Consolidation and Recognition

1980s

• 1980: Preparatory phase of the Regulatory Council; definition of the boundaries of the Denominación de Origen.
Key meetings in La Horra, San Esteban de Gormaz and Aranda de Duero among the 8 wineries to create the Regulatory Council:
• 1982: The Regulatory Council of D.O. Ribera del Duero is made official, with this winery among the 8 founding wineries, later joined by 4 more. 1985: The first export is achieved after receiving the Silver Bacchus award.
• 1989: Election of the first plenary of the Regulatory Council by vote, with both the president and one of the board members being natives of La Horra.

Expansion and Infrastructure

1990s

• 1990: The second bottling line is installed
• 1991-1992: concrete tanks are replaced with stainless-steel tanks.
   - Construction of the new barrel hall.

Today: Consolidation and Modernisation

2000s

• 2007: Celebration of the 50th anniversary.
• 2015: Purchase of a new bottling line.
• 2016: International expansion, with a presence in more than 12 countries.
• 2017: Celebration of the 60th anniversary, with a charitable spirit.
• 2024: Acquisition of vessels for experimenting with new winemaking methods, such as wooden foudres, concrete eggs and barrels of various sizes.
