El Canto del Ángel — Ribera del Duero

Born in a historic pre-phylloxera vineyard in La Horra, El Canto del Ángel embodies the purest essence of Ribera del Duero. Vines that survived the plague that devastated Europe’s vineyards more than a century ago, planted on the sandy soils that protected them, yield grapes of unrepeatable concentration and character.

Winemaking

After a manual harvest and careful winemaking, the wine is aged in new French oak barrels for more than sixteen months. It is bottled unfiltered, preserving all its authenticity — which is why it may show a natural sediment, the hallmark of its artisanal making.

Tasting notes

A deep, elegant red in which ripe black fruit lives alongside the toasted, spiced nuances of new French oak. On the palate it is broad and silky, with the structure of ungrafted old vines and a long finish with mineral echoes. Download the technical sheet for full details of the current vintage.

Food pairing and serving

Perfect with roast suckling lamb, red meats, game stews and long-matured cheeses. Serve at 16–18 °C, decanting 30 minutes beforehand.
